How We Source Nissan Parts

Nissan Spares Johannesburg — FAQs

How much do Nissan spares cost in Johannesburg?

Pricing depends sharply on model. As a guide for the most-quoted items: an NP200 K7M 1.6 timing belt kit (belt, tensioner, idler, water pump where bundled) runs R1,400-R2,200 aftermarket against R2,800-R3,800 OEM, a Navara YS23 D23 injector seal kit is R450-R750 per cylinder aftermarket, a Qashqai RE0F10 CVT valve body sits around R7,500-R12,000 refurbished and R18,000+ new OEM, NP300 KA24 head gasket sets are R1,200-R1,900 aftermarket, and a Magnite HRA0 air filter or brake pad set lands under R650. Send your VIN and we'll quote OEM, OE-supplier (Pierburg, Bosch, Sachs, Hella, Mahle) and budget aftermarket side-by-side before you commit.

Do you supply OEM and aftermarket Nissan parts?

Both. Genuine Nissan OEM is available for most models through our supplier network, and we routinely quote OE-supplier brands (Pierburg, Bosch, Sachs, Mahle, Continental/VDO, Hella) for service and wear items — those are the same factories that produce the original Nissan-boxed part, usually 30-45% under OEM list. Budget aftermarket is the third option on routine items like filters, brake pads and bushes. For injectors, CVT internals, ECUs and emissions modules we'll usually flag OEM or known-good used as the safer route. We're an aftermarket supplier — not an authorised Nissan dealer and not a workshop.

How long does delivery take for Nissan parts in JHB?

Stocked items inside Johannesburg usually go same-day or next-day via courier. OE-supplier parts pulled from a second JHB supplier typically land within 1-3 working days. Less common items — a specific Navara D40 transfer case sensor, an early Almera N16 trim piece, or an NP300 leaf spring set in a less-common rate — can stretch to 5-10 working days while we work the SA network or wait on an import. We give an honest ETA on the quote, not a placeholder.

How often does the NP200 timing belt need replacing, and what does it cost?

The K7M 1.6 8-valve in the NP200 (the Renault-derived engine) is an interference engine — if the belt snaps, the valves meet the pistons and the repair bill jumps into engine-rebuild territory. Nissan's service interval is 90,000 km or 5 years, whichever comes first; for fleet NP200s doing hard mileage or sitting in heat we recommend 75,000 km to be safe. A full kit (belt, tensioner, idler, and ideally the coolant pump while it's apart) runs R1,400-R2,200 aftermarket and R2,800-R3,800 OEM. Fitment is workshop labour on top — we supply parts only and you choose your fitter.

What's the reality on Navara D23 (YS23 2.3 dCi) injector seal failure?

The YS23 2.3 dCi twin-turbo diesel in the D23 Navara (2016-onward) has a known injector copper seal failure — diesel and combustion gases blow past the seal, leaving black soot deposits around the injector base and eventually causing rough running, loss of power and DTCs. The fix is to pull the injectors, replace the copper seals and clean or replace the injector clamps. A seal kit per cylinder is R450-R750 aftermarket; full set across four cylinders R1,800-R3,000 in parts. If injectors themselves are damaged, recon units are R3,500-R5,500 each. Catch it early — running it long enough cracks the injector seat in the head and that's a head-off job.

How much is a Qashqai CVT (RE0F10) replacement or rebuild?

The Jatco RE0F10 / JF015E CVT in the J11 Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T and 2.0 petrol is the gearbox that drives most of the Qashqai quote requests we see. Symptoms are juddering on takeoff, slipping under load, whining at constant speed and eventually limp mode. A refurbished valve body alone is R7,500-R12,000 and fixes a fair share of cases caught early. A full refurbished CVT runs R28,000-R42,000 in parts, a known-good used unit R18,000-R32,000 depending on mileage, and new OEM north of R55,000 before labour. We quote all three options on the same enquiry so you can match spend to the car's remaining life. Fluid service every 60,000 km on Nissan CVT-NS3 is the cheapest insurance against this.
