As a guide on the popular Kiger and Triber: aftermarket brake pads start around R280 a set, rear shock absorbers run roughly R650-R1200 each in aftermarket and around R2200 for genuine OEM, a Triber clutch kit is typically R3500-R5500 aftermarket, and a Kwid AMT actuator can push past R8000 when sourced new. On routine service items — filters, brake pads, shocks, bushes — aftermarket usually saves 35-55% versus OEM with no real downside. For CVT and EasyR AMT internals, dCi turbo components and electronic modules we lean toward OEM or known-good used parts and we'll say so on the quote.

Stocked Kiger, Triber and Kwid service items inside Johannesburg usually go out same-day or next-day via courier. Less common Duster 1.5 dCi turbo and DPF components and older Megane or Clio parts can take 3-7 working days while we pull stock from KZN or Cape Town suppliers, or longer if we need to import. The Kiger is hard on its rear shocks on SA roads — most owners replace them between 60,000 and 90,000 km. Aftermarket rear shocks land in the R650-R1200 each range from brands like Monroe, KYB and Gabriel, with fronts slightly higher. Genuine Renault OEM rear shocks are around R2200 each. Fitment is straightforward at any independent workshop and we'd usually recommend replacing both rears (and ideally both fronts) as a pair. We can — but be honest with yourself about it. The older Sandero, Clio II and III and pre-2016 Megane share parts with Dacia and Nissan, so service items, brakes and suspension bushes are usually findable through aftermarket or breaker channels in SA. Body panels and specific trim pieces for the older Sandero and imported Captur can be scarce and sometimes need to come in from Europe.
